Recently, the so-called “women’s march” takes place every year on March 8 in Kyiv and some other cities of Ukraine. According to the Sociological Group Rating, 75% of women are against the legalization of prostitution. But one of the demands of the “women’s march” is the legalization of prostitution. In those countries in which the Istanbul Convention is implemented in national legislation, the highest rates of violence against women are observed. But at the “women’s march” there are constant demands for the ratification of the Istanbul Convention, supposedly to protect women’s rights. Abortions are the cause of a large number of health problems in women (both physical and psychological), and the current legal status of abortions in Ukraine often leads to the fact that a woman is forced to have an abortion against her will (husband, parents or other close people ). But on the “women’s march” they oppose any anti-abortion initiatives.
In this regard, every year on March 8, the NGO Christian Front organizes a peaceful action “In defense of womanhood, childhood and morality” in order to:
- To oppose the legalization of prostitution.
- To protect the human right to life from conception to natural death.
- Protect a woman’s right to a conscience free from killing her own children.
- To oppose the ratification of the Istanbul Convention, against violence against women and against domestic violence.
